#Dungeon24 Reflections

#Dungeon24 complete! Congrats to all (only 1 other fellow haha) who made it through! Interestingly #Dungeon24 entries were much longer than #Lore24, maybe because there is some notion of climax & plot which some of the entries played the part of. Anyways, here is the ranking for the top 10 #Dungeon24 entries - All tied! Though to be honest, some of the entries had their reply portions not counted because I was too corrupted by sloth to code the logic the count the thread faves (someone please implement this in the Mastodon API - haha!)- but I am deeply grateful for all those who did! Here are my personal top 10 entries: 1 - 88: Tannery of Madness 2 - 101: Vilemourn's Gaol 3 - 263: Pasture of Fury 4 - 241: Zaaldrik's Hidden Savanah 5 - 254: Swordwright's Alley 6 - 244: Wyverncrop 7 - 220: Vein of Aandruim 8 - 94: Adzelorn's Den 9 - 82: Corridor of Quartz Crickets 10 - 96: Manor Aalvulin

#Lore24 Reflections

#Lore24 Complete! Congratulations to all who made it through! It was an extremely productive challenge which I think I will continue for many years to come! Let's go #Lore25 !!  Here are the top 10 starred lore fragments. I plan to draw some art of them tomorrow. Interestingly, most of them were at the start, where many were very motivated. But alas, things died down past the 1st quarter but I'm glad for my Crimson Nest and Mistberry which made it in to top 10 (albeit many others had at least 2 stars). A total of 125 stars were lit in the world of #Calamupa . Top 10 starred lore fragments: 5: Saltbreather Chameel 15: League of Cranes 3: Sanlef Stoma 23: Xhumect of Twenty Twigs 14: Bushelbeast 10: Krurumes, City of Violet 7: Scintrose The Jadestar Cult 347: The Crimson Nest 345: Mistberry Out of all the lore items, these are my personal top 10: 88: Kernelthief 23: Xhumect of Twenty Twigs 117: Seedshard Weldgrund 20: Slugrarion, Arm of Five Eyes 17: Grand Pollen Dryrmand 31: U...

L24.366 Lost Chunk of the Wheel

A chunk of The Wheel the links all Spokes, only witnessed by the Sightless Seer from ages past. Recorded in the archaeological annals in the Lost Dhirvian Archives lost forever to the frigid flames of the Axle.  Upon the Chunk was writ the following: "Hail @Yora, whose gentle push formed the Red Tree from the Void. Hail the seers of creation @Arkanjil @Da_Gut @LindseyBonnette @yatagarasu @Artemis @twwombat @ToweroftheArchmage @Fywillian whose Stars lit the Anthre throughout its creation"

D24.366 Shack of the Ghobo

A shack located at the bottom of the Caves Below Rootwall, 20x30ft in size, made of poorly put together planks of sandalwood. In the shack is the skeleton of a human holding tiny metal rod and a folio of 366 manuscripts. On the cover are the words #Dungeon24, and #Craagveald. At the back of the cover is scrawled:  "Thanks to @Arkanjil @TreeVor @twwombat @LindseyBonnette  @martin for reading my drivel. And thanks to my fellow @Dungeonbard who also made it through #Dungeon24!" Reading all 366 manuscripts will cause one to ascend to a higher existence, transporting them to an idyllic island of eternal spring & sunset where much sugarcane grows alongside throngs of red junglefowls.

D24.365 Mindwelded Forgethrone of Cronedame Zaulind, Tyrant of Craagveald

A throne room 300x500ft in size made of a highly tasteful mosaic of adamantine ore tiles, of transcendental quality but yet some of them appear to be terribly damaged by huge scars and clefts on the ground and walls, suggesting numerous battles of epic proportions had once occured here. A gruesome red carpet 60ft made of threads of arteries and giblets leads to the far end of the room, beset by towering native platinum statues of beheaded dwarves holding what appears to be giant weapons that emit dense auras of divine might. At the far end of the room, up a 50ft height worth of stairs made of petrified, genuflecting impeccably armored dwarves - is seated, on a throne made of five thousand beating hearts dwarven heroes, surrounded by rings of dwarf archmagi squirming brains trapped in eternal torture and servitude - the Cronedame Zaulind, Tyrant of Craagveald. Surrounding her throne are 7 large magma forges arranged in a semicircle, bursting with colored vapors, each bearing a diff...

L24.365 The Axle and The Wheel

A mysterious concept gleaned from translated Dhirvian manuscripts. According to the concept of the Axle, the Spoke which contains all of existence is but one of many Spokes that converge upon a central mystical and unseen Axle which theoretically grants on access to other Spokes much like but also vastly different Spokes which contain their own worlds. Yet, due to the sheer corrupting power of the Axle - surmised to be the Infernal Resplendence, predicted by the Dhirvians thousands of cycles ago - the primordial guardians of the Spoke subdued it's prowess with the powers of the Outer Dark, bringing harmony. And so they pointed the way to Far Reaches, a journey that would require thousands of cycles, towards the fabled Wheel that intersects all Spokes, where the Old Shrines of the Wheel stand. And with the assistance of the Dreamers of Darkness, sleeping within, may the Axle slumber until the Wheel turns again.

D24.364 Rhizome of Void - Prison of Geldlin, Archminer

A demiplane that contains the Rhizome of Void, the 8th transcendent arcane node that grew naturally from the creation of the 7 artificially created Rhizomes of Rootwall. The demiplane is completely devoid of any creatures of matter, and does not even contain any air. All creatures who need to breathe will immediately begin suffocating. The only way to survive is to cast a transcendent spell capable of transposing a livable plane upon a demiplane. Imprisoned here is the immortal ghost of the dwarf Geldlin, the Archminer of Craagveald, whose spirit was too heroic to be extinguished when he challenged the 7 Gaolers of Craagveald, with only pickaxe in hand. He appears as a red hued apparition of a bald, naked dwarf with a bushy moustache with unusually muscular legs and disproportionately skinny arms. Regardless of whether his visitor understands, he will describe his battle with the 7 Gaolers in the Old Dwarven language. He describes how he mortally wounded them, and how the Cronedame Zau...
