D24.365 Mindwelded Forgethrone of Cronedame Zaulind, Tyrant of Craagveald

A throne room 300x500ft in size made of a highly tasteful mosaic of adamantine ore tiles, of transcendental quality but yet some of them appear to be terribly damaged by huge scars and clefts on the ground and walls, suggesting numerous battles of epic proportions had once occured here.

A gruesome red carpet 60ft made of threads of arteries and giblets leads to the far end of the room, beset by towering native platinum statues of beheaded dwarves holding what appears to be giant weapons that emit dense auras of divine might.

At the far end of the room, up a 50ft height worth of stairs made of petrified, genuflecting impeccably armored dwarves - is seated, on a throne made of five thousand beating hearts dwarven heroes, surrounded by rings of dwarf archmagi squirming brains trapped in eternal torture and servitude - the Cronedame Zaulind, Tyrant of Craagveald.

Surrounding her throne are 7 large magma forges arranged in a semicircle, bursting with colored vapors, each bearing a different colour corresponding to that of the 7 elemental Rhizomes.

Should any of the Rhizomes be destroyed their corresponding forges will be devoid of magma and appear to be inactive.

Zaulind appears as an emaciated woman 30ft long black hair with a strange multicolored scintillating complexion which appears to be constantly shifting, and has a remarkably crooked and long nose which is around 6 inches long. Her pupils cannot be seen and her eyes appear to be emitting an aura of divine light.

Contrary to expectations, Zaulind's soul has long been extinguished, and her body has been possessed by the Heroic Soul of Khumin, 2nd Lord of Craagveald.

It was he who incessantly sought the powers of the Caves Below Rootwall, and sought to use the lost primordial powers below Rootwall for himself in hopes of destroying the Demigods of Balance who extinguished the soul of his Son when he gained divine inheritance.

Khumin will harness the powers of the forges to manifest his retinue of immortal elemental soldiers who will charge any intruder in waves of 36d6 footmen and cavalry.

At the halfway point, 7d6 platinum statues will gain sentience and attack any intruders.

Upon reaching the steps to the Mindwelded Throne, the rings of archmagi brains immediately start spasming, causing them to cast numerous random spells with wild abandon, in the attempt to impede progress closer to the throne.

The number of troops, spells and statues that attack intruders greatly diminish for each corresponding Rhizome destroyed.

Upon reaching the same level as the Throne, Khumin will call his Seven Elemental Pygmy Dragons who will emerge from the forges to fight alongside him, as he emerges from Zaulind's body and enters a dwarf-sized adamintine statue of himself, armed in his gear made of Flowing Brass and Adamantine alloy.

Should anyone be holding any of the equipment he had left behind in Craagveald, he will be able to immediately call them from their wielder's possession, unless one is strong enough to resist, or have forged a soul-bond with these pieces of equipment.

Upon his defeat, he will curse the Demigods of Balance, and consume the Egg of the Quail of Chaos, which will cause will open up the large gash in the throne room causing all everything to become sucked into the Caves Below Rootwall where none but primordial abberations lie.

The only way to stop him is with the assistance of a Demigod of Balance, or force-feeding him the Egg of the Quail of Time, which will cause him to be frozen in time eternally, or some other ungodly method that one may come up with.

Stored in a hidden study behind the Elemental forges are a treasure trove of lore written by Khumin, which describe higher planes outside our own which are highly sought after by many extremely powerful individuals of the world.
