D24.364 Rhizome of Void - Prison of Geldlin, Archminer
A demiplane that contains the Rhizome of Void, the 8th transcendent arcane node that grew naturally from the creation of the 7 artificially created Rhizomes of Rootwall.
The demiplane is completely devoid of any creatures of matter, and does not even contain any air.
All creatures who need to breathe will immediately begin suffocating.
The only way to survive is to cast a transcendent spell capable of transposing a livable plane upon a demiplane.
Imprisoned here is the immortal ghost of the dwarf Geldlin, the Archminer of Craagveald, whose spirit was too heroic to be extinguished when he challenged the 7 Gaolers of Craagveald, with only pickaxe in hand. He appears as a red hued apparition of a bald, naked dwarf with a bushy moustache with unusually muscular legs and disproportionately skinny arms.
Regardless of whether his visitor understands, he will describe his battle with the 7 Gaolers in the Old Dwarven language.
He describes how he mortally wounded them, and how the Cronedame Zaulind used the opportunity to steal part of each of their powers, and seal them to the 7 Rhizomes.
Thereafter he fought the Cronedame for 8 days in the Caves Below Rootwall before his body could no longer contain the power of his rapidly strengthening soul causing it's destruction and his subsequent inability to stop the Cronedame who unleashed the abominations deep within and became the sole Tyrant of Craagveald Lost.
To avoid being whisked from the world by the Demigods of Balance, he sealed himself within the demiplane of a malformed Rhizome, waiting for the day for one to inherit his power before he ascends to the High Realm of the Heroes.
If one arrives with the intent of aiding the Cronedame, Geldlin will simply sigh and resign the fate of Craagveald, before ascending to the High Realm of Heroes.
