L24.365 The Axle and The Wheel

A mysterious concept gleaned from translated Dhirvian manuscripts.

According to the concept of the Axle, the Spoke which contains all of existence is but one of many Spokes that converge upon a central mystical and unseen Axle which theoretically grants on access to other Spokes much like but also vastly different Spokes which contain their own worlds.

Yet, due to the sheer corrupting power of the Axle - surmised to be the Infernal Resplendence, predicted by the Dhirvians thousands of cycles ago - the primordial guardians of the Spoke subdued it's prowess with the powers of the Outer Dark, bringing harmony.

And so they pointed the way to Far Reaches, a journey that would require thousands of cycles, towards the fabled Wheel that intersects all Spokes, where the Old Shrines of the Wheel stand.

And with the assistance of the Dreamers of Darkness, sleeping within, may the Axle slumber until the Wheel turns again.

L24.1 Chameleon Riders of Yrhenu

Skilled riders of nimble Chameleons capable of adhereing the the stalks and leaves of Qelerian plants.  They wield large halberds forged from Bramber, sheperd and reap the herds of Frogstock that make the same plants their pasture. While some prefer a bucolic life of herding Frogstock in groups of three to five, there are a few in who build a much greater kinship with their Chamelons, and are capable of blending into the environment. These master riders seek larger prey from hunting Mudtoads at the lower strata of the Stalks.

D24.185 Prison of the Lothgem

Lothgem, a hideous uncut spinel the size of a fist levitating above a tarnished silver pedestal, surrounded by walls made of mosaics of precious jewels depicting praying Dwarven monks.  It is dull to the point it darkens the light about it. When held, it repels all manner of jewels, crystals and precious stones, and may even repel magical precious stones when on a 1 of a 1d6 roll.  The Lothgem is sentient but reticent, and utterly despises all creatures who wear any sort of precious jewelry, and may forcefully repel such creatures adornments depending on its whims. Conversely, it likes the company of tarnished, rusty or scratched stones and may decide to accompany those adorned by them.
