Clueless Delver

#Tale25 Failed! Haha! I lost steam around a 3rd of the way to the end, writing 280 out of 365 entries to a novella I attempted to write. Alas, I think I was getting to ahead of myself, thinking I could write a full novella bit by bit.   While there were some neat moments I wrote, the interactions between each character were extremely shallow with only a few moments having any meaningful interaction. Thanks to this exercise however, I've learned my weaknesses and will attempt to address them by writing shorter fiction in the upcoming #Drama26 , which I plan write several short plays / fairy tales based on both #Calamupa and #Ulrunir .   Like the other reflection, I've listed the top 9 tale fragments. Only 9 stars were lit in the world of Calamupa during the endeavours of Hajer , Gumue , Domel and Shurmo . Thankfully, each character had at least 1 star, which means at least their narrative resounded with some people, which surprises me.  In terms of char...

#Lore25 Complete! Looks like I'm the only one who participated in it! Through the exercise this year, I gained a lot of insight and learned of several shortcomings of my approach to making exciting lore. One thing I've realised is that narrative driven fragments are more exciting to write and read, though it can be a bit taxing as it requires some effort to make the narrative coherent.  Delving into engaging narrative is what I will be attempting next year with #Drama26 , where I try to elevate myself from simple exposition to hopefully more riveting narratives. Like last year, here are my top 10 starred lore fragments. Alas, things have gotten significantly busy for me and I think I won't be able to draw any of them - though I did draw a map of #Ulrunir . Due to no one else participating, only 36 stars were lit in the skies of #Ulrunir . Because they are so few in number, I shall name them in a manner inspired by their names - keep a look out for them! Top 10 starred l...

#Dungeon24 complete! Congrats to all (only 1 other fellow haha) who made it through! Interestingly #Dungeon24 entries were much longer than #Lore24, maybe because there is some notion of climax & plot which some of the entries played the part of. Anyways, here is the ranking for the top 10 #Dungeon24 entries - All tied! Though to be honest, some of the entries had their reply portions not counted because I was too corrupted by sloth to code the logic the count the thread faves (someone please implement this in the Mastodon API - haha!)- but I am deeply grateful for all those who did! Here are my personal top 10 entries: 1 - 88: Tannery of Madness 2 - 101: Vilemourn's Gaol 3 - 263: Pasture of Fury 4 - 241: Zaaldrik's Hidden Savanah 5 - 254: Swordwright's Alley 6 - 244: Wyverncrop 7 - 220: Vein of Aandruim 8 - 94: Adzelorn's Den 9 - 82: Corridor of Quartz Crickets 10 - 96: Manor Aalvulin

#Lore24 Complete! Congratulations to all who made it through! It was an extremely productive challenge which I think I will continue for many years to come! Let's go #Lore25 !!  Here are the top 10 starred lore fragments. I plan to draw some art of them tomorrow. Interestingly, most of them were at the start, where many were very motivated. But alas, things died down past the 1st quarter but I'm glad for my Crimson Nest and Mistberry which made it in to top 10 (albeit many others had at least 2 stars). A total of 125 stars were lit in the world of #Calamupa . Top 10 starred lore fragments: 5: Saltbreather Chameel 15: League of Cranes 3: Sanlef Stoma 23: Xhumect of Twenty Twigs 14: Bushelbeast 10: Krurumes, City of Violet 7: Scintrose The Jadestar Cult 347: The Crimson Nest 345: Mistberry Out of all the lore items, these are my personal top 10: 88: Kernelthief 23: Xhumect of Twenty Twigs 117: Seedshard Weldgrund 20: Slugrarion, Arm of Five Eyes 17: Grand Pollen Dryrmand 31: U...
