"Lord Humvird... no doubt returning from another triumphant conquest of another part of the Wilderbark," the slant-eyed young man spoke with a solemn tone.
Gumue looked curiously back at the slant-eyed man, who now appeared to bear a somber expression.
"Is that bad news?" Gumue asked.
"Well, good - for the Lords of the Twin Sprigs. But bad for us travelling folk. The attacks make those in the Wilderbark restless and take to banditry," the slant-eyed man replied.
"Good lady, I'd advise against travelling from out from the Twin Sprigs at least for a good cycle. Unless you have money to hire guards, the barklands is bound to become more dangerous now," the old man added.
