D24.302 Cavern of Foam

An odd cavern composed entirely of foamy substances at various stages of hardening. The hardened and soft foam in the cavern are nearly indistinguishable and only extremely specific tinctures may identify their difference.

The foam is highly flame retardant and will immediately put out even the most fierce of magical fires, but is unable to extinguish flames resonant with frost.

The cave is littered with numerous foamy potholes which may cause injury should one step into them without sufficient dexterity.

In one of the deep potholes is hidden the legendary dagger Scaldheaven which upon retrieving it will burst into blazing flames, scorching those without immunity to fire.

#Lore24 Complete! Congratulations to all who made it through! It was an extremely productive challenge which I think I will continue for many years to come! L24.1 Chameleon Riders of Yrhenu

Skilled riders of nimble Chameleons capable of adhereing the the stalks and leaves of Qelerian plants.  They wield large halberds forged from Bramber, sheperd and reap the herds of Frogstock that make the same plants their pasture. While some prefer a bucolic life of herding Frogstock in groups of three to five, there are a few in who build a much greater kinship with their Chamelons, and are capable of blending into the environment. These master riders seek larger prey from hunting Mudtoads at the lower strata of the Stalks.

D24.185 Prison of the Lothgem

Lothgem, a hideous uncut spinel the size of a fist levitating above a tarnished silver pedestal, surrounded by walls made of mosaics of precious jewels depicting praying Dwarven monks.  It is dull to the point it darkens the light about it. When held, it repels all manner of jewels, crystals and precious stones, and may even repel magical precious stones when on a 1 of a 1d6 roll.  The Lothgem is sentient but reticent, and utterly despises all creatures who wear any sort of precious jewelry, and may forcefully repel such creatures adornments depending on its whims. Conversely, it likes the company of tarnished, rusty or scratched stones and may decide to accompany those adorned by them.
