L24.263 Bulbroot

Bulbroot - also known as Droughtgrape, is a one of a kind of fruit that bears the appearance of interwoven gnarly blue roots. It is known for its highly remarkable ability to absorb water and a variety of fluids, causing it to swell from the size of an lesser acorn to the size of one's palm.

The factor of storage of a bulbroot depends on its base size, which allows it to store up to two to five times its original volume at a mere increase of a maximum of an additional half of its original volume.

To release stored fluids, a single root has to be cut, which will cause the fluid to leak from it at varying speeds depending on how deep the cut is, and how thick the cut root is. It is this storage ability that makes it highly sought after, and prices for larger bulbroots are exceedingly high due to it being unable to be cultivated.
