D24.240 Whalerose Cavern

A cavern passage of loamy clay 200ft in diameter that travels 800ft. Occasionally the passage is pierced by a colossal white rib bone 40ft in diameter on which clusters of fat petalled blue roses grow that give off a salty scent reminiscent of the sea.

The roses are averse to being plucked and will manifest illusory thorns that cause those who fail to resist to reel back by the sheer pain. 

When successfully harvested, they may greatly enhance concoctions that cause instantaneous illusory effects.

Every 100ft travelled roll 1d6. One a 1, a 1d6 burrowing lobster-man pugilists burrow out into the passage and will attack fiercely any creature they see.

L24.7 Scintrose

 A terrible illness which causes flower-like marks to form on the skin of the infected. These flower-like marks emit colored light which is considered a bad omen by many civilisations save those of the Shrouded Nest whose Saintess was said to have Scintrose across and within her body. As the disease advances, the marks become more detailed, until the point actual Brightflowers actually bloom upon the skin of the infected. At this point the flowers release an infectious pollen which spreads by air to infect others.

D24.185 Prison of the Lothgem

Lothgem, a hideous uncut spinel the size of a fist levitating above a tarnished silver pedestal, surrounded by walls made of mosaics of precious jewels depicting praying Dwarven monks.  It is dull to the point it darkens the light about it. When held, it repels all manner of jewels, crystals and precious stones, and may even repel magical precious stones when on a 1 of a 1d6 roll.  The Lothgem is sentient but reticent, and utterly despises all creatures who wear any sort of precious jewelry, and may forcefully repel such creatures adornments depending on its whims. Conversely, it likes the company of tarnished, rusty or scratched stones and may decide to accompany those adorned by them.
