D24.238 Grand Mausoleum of Seals

A colossal cylindrical room 600ft in diameter that soars 800ft tall made of polished native gold. Interspersed throughout the empty space are 10ft wide 20ft long sculptures of golden seal creatures in various swimming poses placed diagonal and horizontal to one another in 10ft intervals.

The bottom of the room is filled with a very shallow, black pool of Essence of Weight, a transcendentally rare tincture capable of manipulating the weight of creatures and objects.

Those learned in alchemy and Dwarven enchantment may make a link between the pool and the sculptures and learn that the pool is the key to stably suspending the seals in mid air.

When one jumps from seal to seal or attempts to fly between seals, roll 1d6. On a 1, a minor current forms in the pool below, causing one to plummet 1d6 * 5 ft lower.

On a 6, a vortex forms, causing one to rise 1d6 * 5 ft higher. When rising, those not dextrous enough may collide with a seal, which may cause some blunt trauma.

Falling into the pool causes one to be crushed into a pulp as immense weight is bestowed to one's flesh.

Only a grand master of alchemy or enchanter may know the reagents necessary to manipulate the pool or collect it's liquid.

A black wooden chest unaffected by the pool can be found at the edge of the cylinder, which is completely empty but is able to fully ward effects of gravity manipulation.
