D24.217 Rhizome of Water - Prison of Sliudor the Defiler

An infernal demiplane that contains the Rhizome of Water, one the 7 ancient, transcendent arcane nodes responsible for creating the Rootwall which barred the Dwarves of Craagveald from delving deeper.

The demiplane spans a seemingly infinite space and resembles a vast, torrid sea that forms both the sky and earth, but those adept in illusions will quickly notice its true form is a sphere 300ft in diameter, and an illusory field repeats the same space as can be seen from the very blur reflections in the water beyond.

Reaching the edge of the demiplane will only cause creatures to return on the opposite side, but all missiles magic or physical will be channeled to the void.

Those unable to walk on water will sink down to the bottom of the demiplane and emerge at the sea in the sky. Both bodies of water a 60ft deep.

At the centre of demiplane is a pillar of water that diagonally connects the water on the ground and on the sky and it undulates like a swirling water spout.

Seated next to pillar of water is a naked, extremely emaciated elf man, Siludor, the Defiler who sports extremely long brown hair nearly 30ft in length.

The left half of his body is made of enchanted wood, with the wooden part of his face bearing a eye with an extremely striking bronze color, while the other appears to be heavily clouded. His flesh half is heavily scarred and burned.

When a creature approaches within 70ft of him he begins to stand and attacks with a strange 15ft long lump of blue metal that bears the appearance of a molten sword with the blade of a battle axe as a hilt.

Siludor is mute, can walk on water, and attacks 2d6 times per turn, and can cast a range of water spells that emerge from the water spout instead of his hands. Occasionally Siludor may activate the power of his metal lump to attack twice his reach, and release a shockwave 40ft in diameter which pushes those unable to resist back up to 80ft, while also making prone those not dextrous enough to stay balanced.

When reduced to half of his health a storm begins to brew, causing large, destructive undulating waves to emerge from all bodies of water, which may cause loss of balance.
He will also begin drawing upon the power of the brown eye, which is capable of slashing all within a 80ft cone as a bonus action once per turn.

When slain, his eye may be taken from his body which may be identified to be the Jewelled left eye of Auzurin the Warlock of Blades which bestows the same power when used to replace one's left eye.

The molten length of blue metal, when taken to a certain Chronomancer smith may reveal itself to be two magic weapons - Gainswave - a two handed sword capable of attacking creatures twice it's reach, and the battle axe Hurdjore which allows one to release a repelling shockwave.

Only those who know the secrets of Rootwall may be able to deactivate the Rhizome of Water.
