L25.355 Before the Seas, by Anonymous - Part 19
Peace prevailed in the coming centuries, but soon the Serpents grew dissatisfied with a life of idyll - they forged weapons but none were used. Initially, to sate their lust for battle, they held gladitorial battles, but that was insufficient to remove them from ennui.
As the blood of the leaders of the previous generation of Serpentine leaders thinned, the pacts between the two factions and even within the factions dissolved. Several leaders of the new generation of Serpents quickly formed their own cliques around the fortresses they built.
