A blasphemous artifact mentioned in the Annals of Mud, claimed by several cultists of the Dark Prism cult to be the true origin of life.

Contrary to the deific miracles of deific creation espoused by most major religious doctrines, the Slate of Eternal Discomfort served as a key node of transformation, granting flesh to fragments of spirit formed from the First Echo.

It is said to be a tall yet extremely thin slate around 70 feet wide, which could stand freely, resisting even the most violent of storms.

Those near who approached it would undergo painful transformations, but in exchange would be granted unimaginable powers.

#Lore24 Complete! Congratulations to all who made it through! It was an extremely productive challenge which I think I will continue for many years to come! Let's go #Lore25 !!  Here are the top 10 starred lore fragments. I plan to draw some art of them tomorrow. Interestingly, most of them were at the start, where many were very motivated. But alas, things died down past the 1st quarter but I'm glad for my Crimson Nest and Mistberry which made it in to top 10 (albeit many others had at least 2 stars). Wastetreader Dykstra A cluster of 200ft tall tapered towers made of alabaster bricks topped with a bulbous cage that serve as belfries for manticores. The towers are connected to one another via 100ft wide cliffside tunnels open to one side, held up by rock-hewn pillars fixed with sconces. These partially open tunnels snake around the edges of the cliff, connecting the Greater East Wall to the north and the Lesser Wall to the south.
