A theoretical model explaining the font of arcane power said to be latent within the bellies of all creatures from which magical powers are harnessed.

The concept of the Saltmesh was explained first by Anatomist Sage Ansu-Izir during the Age of Petty Kingdoms during the famous Discourse Atop the Fallen Pillar.

According to the Saltmesh model, Salt is the residue of creative energy formed during the manifestation of the first instances matter of the world.

Consciousness forms an invisible net within flesh which gets denser closer to the creature's centre of mass.

The denser the Net becomes, the more Salt is caught as time passes.

With training, the density of the Net across the body and even beyond the body can be manipulated, resulting in the expression of magical effects.

Unless you are a madman yourself, or enjoy the feeling of spines piercing your flesh. Wastetreader Dykstra A cluster of 200ft tall tapered towers made of alabaster bricks topped with a bulbous cage that serve as belfries for manticores. The towers are connected to one another via 100ft wide cliffside tunnels open to one side, held up by rock-hewn pillars fixed with sconces. These partially open tunnels snake around the edges of the cliff, connecting the Greater East Wall to the north and the Lesser Wall to the south. #Lore24 Complete! Congratulations to all who made it through! It was an extremely productive challenge which I think I will continue for many years to come! Let's go #Lore25 !!  Here are the top 10 starred lore fragments. I plan to draw some art of them tomorrow. Interestingly, most of them were at the start, where many were very motivated. But alas, things died down past the 1st quarter but I'm glad for my Crimson Nest and Mistberry which made it in to top 10 (albeit many others had at least 2 stars).
