L25.206 Witching Lobstermite

 A highly exotic and unusual chimeric insect formed from the profaned transmuatation of termites and lobsters.

Said to be the work of Witch Lord Kur-Aldurta, a long lived Serpent-man who was also known for being the last living Serpent-man who survived into the middle of the Age of Petty Kingdoms, during which the Serpent-men were rapidly diminishing in number due to the Curse of the Deluge.

These Lobstermites are as small as termites but bear the characteristic claws of swamp lobsters, and are wreathed in a potent arcane aura - allowing it them to be used as an external source of magic power that far exceeds that of magical herbs, fungi and amber.

The magic power they emanate is said to be perpetually replenishing, up until they die around the age of a year - but may spawn more offspring if provided the right environs.

It is rumored that the magical artefacts of the Cauldrons of Lal-Mit, and even the Witch-Judges of the Holy Ka-Abir use tools powered by Witching Lobstermites.

Wastetreader Dykstra A cluster of 200ft tall tapered towers made of alabaster bricks topped with a bulbous cage that serve as belfries for manticores. The towers are connected to one another via 100ft wide cliffside tunnels open to one side, held up by rock-hewn pillars fixed with sconces. These partially open tunnels snake around the edges of the cliff, connecting the Greater East Wall to the north and the Lesser Wall to the south. #Lore24 Complete! Congratulations to all who made it through! It was an extremely productive challenge which I think I will continue for many years to come! Let's go #Lore25 !!  Here are the top 10 starred lore fragments. I plan to draw some art of them tomorrow. Interestingly, most of them were at the start, where many were very motivated. But alas, things died down past the 1st quarter but I'm glad for my Crimson Nest and Mistberry which made it in to top 10 (albeit many others had at least 2 stars).
