L25.189 Barbed Hawk
A rare animal prized for its deadliness when employed in falconer arts.
Unlike its feathered counterparts, the feathers of the Barbed Hawk are unusually thin and act as sharp, prickly spines that easily pierce skin and fat, causing immense pain.
They are also known in Shur-Qamet as the Ascetic's Friend, as that inflict considerable pain when they perch upon unarmored flesh, and ascetics roam the wilds allow themselves to be perched upon by these birds.
