A25 194,462 Greater Eastern Wall

A towering wall 330ft high of white megalithic bricks that stretches 6 miles connecting the Wooly Toad Range and the peaks of the Manticore Belfry to the south.

Undead sentries make stand in eternal vigil atop and within the walls, braving the onslaught of the violent winds and clouds of frost wyrmflies that swarm any living thing in sight.

The large wall is punctuated castled and held together with 5 soaring keeps that are found at the ends of the wall and spaced equally along the wall.

Near the foot of the wall is a fortified high-gate which secures access past the wall via a brook that carries hot springwater from a distant underground lake.

As the wall is well maintained by the patrolling sentries, crossing to the south takes 1 day, if uninterrupted by patrolling undead.

Each keep is approximately 100ft in diameter and has at least 20 floors that go down to the base of the wall and 5 floors that rise 65 ft from the top of the wall.

The tops of each keep are armed with ballistas that point towards the east and west.

1 A cloud-like swarm of Frost Wyrmflies. Drains 2d6 hp from up to 3d6 HD of creatures.
2 A platoon of 2d6 skeletal halberdiers led by 1 giant zombie sentry knight.
3 1d6 Giant Snow Petrels roosting on the edge of the wall.
4 2d6 dwarven zombie monk acolytes, training by climbing half of the wall with only their feet.
5 2d6 lesser ice golems fall from the sky, formed from boulder sized hail
6 2d6 lesser storm golems descend from bolts of lightning striking the top of the wall.

Name: Illbreather, Oestru
Description: |- 
She lurks inside one of the unlodged bricks of the wall from which a foul scent wavers which is appealing to unsuspecting Giant Snow Petrels looking for prey, only to be slain and fed on by this wizened nomad who wears the garb of the distant Lilac Wastes.

If one brings an item with an interesting or nostalgic scent, especially one belonging to the Lilac Wastes, she may not be immediately hostile upon entry to her hovel.

She may offer to trade secret knowledge of the vicinity and some secrets of adjacent regions in exchange for bringing her various objects of interesting scent.

She somehow eats through the mangled air pipe that is typically used by Lilac nomads to breathe from air tanks.

An extremely windy mountain range. Small creatures with inadequate footing may be blown off balance. The Manticore Belfries... Home to madmen breeding bloodthirsty manticores. The promise of treasure is great. That - I'll admit. But I'd stay clear of that place if I were you... Unless you are a madman yourself, or enjoy the feeling of spines piercing your flesh. Wastetreader Dykstra A cluster of 200ft tall tapered towers made of alabaster bricks topped with a bulbous cage that serve as belfries for manticores. The towers are connected to one another via 100ft wide cliffside tunnels open to one side, held up by rock-hewn pillars fixed with sconces. These partially open tunnels snake around the edges of the cliff, connecting the Greater East Wall to the north and the Lesser Wall to the south. #Lore24 Complete! Congratulations to all who made it through! It was an extremely productive challenge which I think I will continue for many years to come! Let's go #Lore25 !!  Here are the top 10 starred lore fragments. I plan to draw some art of them tomorrow. Interestingly, most of them were at the start, where many were very motivated. But alas, things died down past the 1st quarter but I'm glad for my Crimson Nest and Mistberry which made it in to top 10 (albeit many others had at least 2 stars).
