L25.9 Pepperthroat

A common malaise that seasonally afflicts the peoples of Ulrunir.

Known for its remarkable symptom of a prickly, fiery sensation along one's throat as though one swallowed a bowl of ground peppercorns.

According to folklore, the illness was considered a curse that belonged to the Deity of Thievery who stole the mystical Peppers of the Saltwaters from the Primordial Garden.

As he greedily ate the peppercorns in hopes of gaining it's powers, he choked on it due to the curse, and coughed upon the mortal realm, spreading the curse as invisible grains of pepper that would travel by wind into the throats of men, wracking them with this malaise.

Some remedies include drinking a potion of saltwater, which is said would make these grains become at ease and prevent them from clinging onto the throat.
