L24.338 Left Mandible of Yirn

A fragment of the holy relic of the Sect of Yirn, which worships their paramount arcane saint Yirn, which was said by ancient records to be a moulted shell of a cicada, which inherited a wisp of consciousness from one of the primordial Outerbeetles. 

The Sect of Yirn bore membership from many powerful sorcerers who's powers grew immensely from observing the artifact. This eventually created a shadow polity which dominated much of the Alugan Barkregion of the Supple Qeleres until the Mad Prince Serran I, waged a suicidal war against all sorcerers, which culminated in the destruction of Yirn's Inheritor.

According to Librareiters of old, the old remnant of the Inheritor is this Left Mandible which is no larger than half a fingernail - yet possesses power few could fathom.

Records of the Left Mandible's whereabouts cease abruptly nearly a millennium ago, and is unknown to this day.

#Lore24 Complete! Congratulations to all who made it through! It was an extremely productive challenge which I think I will continue for many years to come! L24.1 Chameleon Riders of Yrhenu

Skilled riders of nimble Chameleons capable of adhereing the the stalks and leaves of Qelerian plants.  They wield large halberds forged from Bramber, sheperd and reap the herds of Frogstock that make the same plants their pasture. While some prefer a bucolic life of herding Frogstock in groups of three to five, there are a few in who build a much greater kinship with their Chamelons, and are capable of blending into the environment. These master riders seek larger prey from hunting Mudtoads at the lower strata of the Stalks.

D24.185 Prison of the Lothgem

Lothgem, a hideous uncut spinel the size of a fist levitating above a tarnished silver pedestal, surrounded by walls made of mosaics of precious jewels depicting praying Dwarven monks.  It is dull to the point it darkens the light about it. When held, it repels all manner of jewels, crystals and precious stones, and may even repel magical precious stones when on a 1 of a 1d6 roll.  The Lothgem is sentient but reticent, and utterly despises all creatures who wear any sort of precious jewelry, and may forcefully repel such creatures adornments depending on its whims. Conversely, it likes the company of tarnished, rusty or scratched stones and may decide to accompany those adorned by them.
