D24.359 Rhizome of Fire - Prison of Kyhrnocht, Angel of Sorrow

An infernal demiplane that contains the Rhizome of Fire, one the 7 ancient, transcendent arcane nodes responsible for creating the Rootwall which barred the Dwarves of Craagveald from delving deeper.

The plane contains a vast sea of azure flames, 300ft in diameter, at the centre of which is the Rhizome of Fire.

The heat of the plane is immense, to the point that the air warps, causing rays to sometimes be diffracted off target.

The air above the sea also may spontaneously combust due to the heat.

Chained by her legs with Divine Soul Chains near the Rhizome is the Angel Kyhrnocht who weeps quietly azure tears of flame.

Her wings are made of flame as well as her halo which appears to radiate unholy energy.

The chain only allows her to move in a 40ft diameter from her location, beyond which if she attempts to go further she will be subject to immense suffering which will cause her to shed more tears, making the prison even hotter.

As long as she weeps she cannot be harmed unless one uses transcendental divine magic or certain time magics.

The chains that bind her are also impossible to break without heaven defying powers.

Should one somehow manage to free her, she will immediately take her own life with forbidden magics.

#Lore24 Complete! Congratulations to all who made it through! It was an extremely productive challenge which I think I will continue for many years to come! L24.1 Chameleon Riders of Yrhenu

Skilled riders of nimble Chameleons capable of adhereing the the stalks and leaves of Qelerian plants.  They wield large halberds forged from Bramber, sheperd and reap the herds of Frogstock that make the same plants their pasture. While some prefer a bucolic life of herding Frogstock in groups of three to five, there are a few in who build a much greater kinship with their Chamelons, and are capable of blending into the environment. These master riders seek larger prey from hunting Mudtoads at the lower strata of the Stalks.

D24.185 Prison of the Lothgem

Lothgem, a hideous uncut spinel the size of a fist levitating above a tarnished silver pedestal, surrounded by walls made of mosaics of precious jewels depicting praying Dwarven monks.  It is dull to the point it darkens the light about it. When held, it repels all manner of jewels, crystals and precious stones, and may even repel magical precious stones when on a 1 of a 1d6 roll.  The Lothgem is sentient but reticent, and utterly despises all creatures who wear any sort of precious jewelry, and may forcefully repel such creatures adornments depending on its whims. Conversely, it likes the company of tarnished, rusty or scratched stones and may decide to accompany those adorned by them.
