D24.357 Right Greave of Khumin

A cuboid area with a 300x300ft base of 500ft height, part of the colossal statue of Khumin, the Second Lord of Craagveald, sculpted from the ore of bismuth and chalcedony.

The underside of the right greave bears a flight of sculpted stairs that are devoid of life except dried blood of various colours.

One learned in the arts of blood may identify them as the blood of elves and bats.

At the top of the greave lies the Old Guard Firulin, who has set up camp on a precarious edge of the top of the Greave where he hunts bats with his magic boomerang, butchers them with an adamantium cleaver and roasts them.

Should one be an elf, be will madly ambush them upon catching their scent, unless heavily masked by other aromas or by magic.

Otherwise, he will offer to trade roasted bats and chunks of gemstones for flasks of beer.

Firuli insane, mute and cannot speak, and reading his mind will return gibberish.

Casting a grand restoration spell will restore his sanity, but he will immediately begin screaming loudly for a few seconds before disappearing into thin air.

Hidden in his camp is an ornate adamantine scroll case that contains the location of Grihdmin the Fifth Lord of Craagveald's True Tomb.
