D24.309 Pool of Feathers

A strange pool 100ft in diameter in a diorite cave 200ft in diameter that appears to be filled with numerous glistening white feathers. The pool around the temperature of a hot spring and goes 50ft deep, gaining in temperature the deeper one goes.

Bathing in the pool bestows a creature magical reduction in apparent weight, which may provide advantage in escaping the detection of some pressure or weight sensitive mechanisms.

Should one drink from the pool, they will begin levitating slowly up to 5 ft above the ground.

The effects of the pool's water only last up to 12 hours when taken out of the pool.

Lothgem, a hideous uncut spinel the size of a fist levitating above a tarnished silver pedestal, surrounded by walls made of mosaics of precious jewels depicting praying Dwarven monks.  It is dull to the point it darkens the light about it. When held, it repels all manner of jewels, crystals and precious stones, and may even repel magical precious stones when on a 1 of a 1d6 roll.  The Lothgem is sentient but reticent, and utterly despises all creatures who wear any sort of precious jewelry, and may forcefully repel such creatures adornments depending on its whims. Conversely, it likes the company of tarnished, rusty or scratched stones and may decide to accompany those adorned by them.

L24.7 Scintrose

 A terrible illness which causes flower-like marks to form on the skin of the infected. These flower-like marks emit colored light which is considered a bad omen by many civilisations save those of the Shrouded Nest whose Saintess was said to have Scintrose across and within her body. As the disease advances, the marks become more detailed, until the point actual Brightflowers actually bloom upon the skin of the infected. At this point the flowers release an infectious pollen which spreads by air to infect others.
