D24.293 Glass-splashed cavern

A cavern of sandstone covered in large sprawing marks of glass. The cavern begins with a corridor 50ft in diameter which travels for 100ft and opens up to a larger cavern 200ft in diameter. Every 12 seconds, a wave of blazing hot white flames 20ft in diameter blasts through the corridor, incinerating everything in its path, forming glass.

Within the larger cavern lies the a remnant of the Immortal Dragon, Llanbrim's heart which stands at the center, occupying nearly 30ft in diameter of space. The heart still pulses with immense heat, creating a blazing vortex that covers the entire cavern every 12 seconds.

Should one be skilled enough to reach the heart, and strong enough to feast upon it, one gains part of the inheritance of Llanbrim, which nourishes one's soul with immense power - increasing their lifespan and granting one the ability to breathe searing white flames.

The heart can only be cut by tools made of legendary materials and stored in igneous stone-thread bags - which may allow pieces of the Immortal Dragon's heart to be brought out from the cave - which may allow for the creation of many heaven-defying artifacts and elixirs.

#Lore24 Complete! Congratulations to all who made it through! It was an extremely productive challenge which I think I will continue for many years to come! L24.1 Chameleon Riders of Yrhenu

Skilled riders of nimble Chameleons capable of adhereing the the stalks and leaves of Qelerian plants.  They wield large halberds forged from Bramber, sheperd and reap the herds of Frogstock that make the same plants their pasture. While some prefer a bucolic life of herding Frogstock in groups of three to five, there are a few in who build a much greater kinship with their Chamelons, and are capable of blending into the environment. These master riders seek larger prey from hunting Mudtoads at the lower strata of the Stalks.

D24.185 Prison of the Lothgem

Lothgem, a hideous uncut spinel the size of a fist levitating above a tarnished silver pedestal, surrounded by walls made of mosaics of precious jewels depicting praying Dwarven monks.  It is dull to the point it darkens the light about it. When held, it repels all manner of jewels, crystals and precious stones, and may even repel magical precious stones when on a 1 of a 1d6 roll.  The Lothgem is sentient but reticent, and utterly despises all creatures who wear any sort of precious jewelry, and may forcefully repel such creatures adornments depending on its whims. Conversely, it likes the company of tarnished, rusty or scratched stones and may decide to accompany those adorned by them.
