D24.278 Lost Almarea
An abandoned homely vilage once dwelled by peaceful folk, 200 x 100ft in size. Despite abandonment, there are few signs of damage of the buildings and all belongings of its residents are unpillaged and neatly arranged. The village is occupied by a very dangerous dragon named Almalut, the Dragon of Grand Deceit, who takes the form of an innocent looking flower in one of the small garden patches in the village, where it has meditated for thousands of years after attaining partial immortality, sapping the life essence of the rich soul-veins underneath the village.
When any creature enters the village, Almalut will first attempt to scare them away by manifesting extremely vivid illusions of a large, terrifying dragon attacking them. The dragon is extremely realistic and respond to attacks without dissipating and will die when receiving too many attacks.
Once this first illusory dragon is felled, Almalut with send forth the spirit of an unusual creature called a Sword Dragon, capable of harnessing Breath and Aura containing the essence of swords. Unlike the illusory dragon, this dragon spirit is real - much like a ghost dragon - but Almalut will attempt to call back the Sword Dragon after it is somewhat damaged due to being not willing to sacrifice this rare spirit.
Next, Almalut will harness a grand illusion, creating realistic doppelgangers of the creatures to attempt to cause discord within parties.
Should these doppelgangers fail, Almalut will finally show himself and his Sword Dragon, and both will attempt to slay the intruding creatures.
Throughout the battle, should one be astute enough to find Almalut's hiding place, one may be able to mortally wound Almalut without having to go through his trials.
When slain, the soul-vein beneath the village is unstopped, and one may be able to meditate in the area to increase one's lifespan.
