D24.251 Veldromir's Throat

The blazing throat of the Furnace Dragon Veldromir, 90ft in diameter, reaching 400ft deep leading to his belly. Due to Veldromir being sealed by the most powerful of Dwarven magics, 500 runic nails are studded upon its surface hidden amongst the large swathes of fire element cattails that grow virulently across the area.

As Veldromir is alive - though extremely weak, and a powerful gust of sweltering wind - that is is breath - blows through the area every minute. Those unable to hold their ground may be blown off their feet, and those unable to resist the scorching heat may be burned.

The throat is also home to swarms of mucosal fire slimes, who may ambush creatures in groups of 3d6.

 A terrible illness which causes flower-like marks to form on the skin of the infected. These flower-like marks emit colored light which is considered a bad omen by many civilisations save those of the Shrouded Nest whose Saintess was said to have Scintrose across and within her body. As the disease advances, the marks become more detailed, until the point actual Brightflowers actually bloom upon the skin of the infected. At this point the flowers release an infectious pollen which spreads by air to infect others.

D24.185 Prison of the Lothgem

Lothgem, a hideous uncut spinel the size of a fist levitating above a tarnished silver pedestal, surrounded by walls made of mosaics of precious jewels depicting praying Dwarven monks.  It is dull to the point it darkens the light about it. When held, it repels all manner of jewels, crystals and precious stones, and may even repel magical precious stones when on a 1 of a 1d6 roll.  The Lothgem is sentient but reticent, and utterly despises all creatures who wear any sort of precious jewelry, and may forcefully repel such creatures adornments depending on its whims. Conversely, it likes the company of tarnished, rusty or scratched stones and may decide to accompany those adorned by them.
