L24.240 Droplet Cicada

A mythical insect said to exist in the interstices of time recorded only in ancient translations of a Dhrivian codex made in the primitive language of the Spiderkin. It is said that by using some contraption named the Dhirvian umbrella, one may be able to view in a domain of dilated time - the happenings of the previous few minutes in extreme detail. Through this method the Dhirvians claimed to have discovered an this invisible insect which travels between invisible water droplets said to exist in the air to drink them - which bestow them the might to move quickly between other droplets.

Alas, due to some fragments of the translation being lost, the reason for this study is not fully understood, and it is now mainly seen as one of the keys of making sense of the elusive Dhrivian lexicon.

 A terrible illness which causes flower-like marks to form on the skin of the infected. These flower-like marks emit colored light which is considered a bad omen by many civilisations save those of the Shrouded Nest whose Saintess was said to have Scintrose across and within her body. As the disease advances, the marks become more detailed, until the point actual Brightflowers actually bloom upon the skin of the infected. At this point the flowers release an infectious pollen which spreads by air to infect others.

D24.185 Prison of the Lothgem

Lothgem, a hideous uncut spinel the size of a fist levitating above a tarnished silver pedestal, surrounded by walls made of mosaics of precious jewels depicting praying Dwarven monks.  It is dull to the point it darkens the light about it. When held, it repels all manner of jewels, crystals and precious stones, and may even repel magical precious stones when on a 1 of a 1d6 roll.  The Lothgem is sentient but reticent, and utterly despises all creatures who wear any sort of precious jewelry, and may forcefully repel such creatures adornments depending on its whims. Conversely, it likes the company of tarnished, rusty or scratched stones and may decide to accompany those adorned by them.
