L24.44 Steelreeds

A type of treacherous plains found in the Halflit Region of the Sullied Sprig. Interspersed by meandering lakes of vilebright are vast clusters of metallic reeds called Steelreeds that bear bladed fruits that cut at creatures that travel through them. It is said they blood shed by their blades fuel their growth, and travel across Steelreeds tinged in red is not advised. A much hated school of Sorrelmancy involves the control of Steelreeds, and all books describing such arts are strictly forbidden in the small civilised parts of Halflit such as Manathrag, the Hold of  the Amberbound King.

An extremely windy mountain range. Small creatures with inadequate footing may be blown off balance. A soaring terraced tuya made of dark rocks, caked in powdery snow stepping upwards erratically up above the clouds. It's height is only second to the tall pillar of ice that is Trathulin's Tide, which can be seen from above the clouds on top of some of the taller terraces, where cones of limestone with tips of glass can be found - ancient observatories watching the stars. Travel across the land is difficult, requiring 3 days on foot, and 2 days when riding a mountain goat. Encounters Roll Encounter 1 Courier of the Astrologers. An undead Astrologer Mummy riding a Psionic Goat. They often carry messages and gifts sent between the few ancient astrologers that still gaze the stars to this day. They ride extremely quickly and will try to avoid being followed as best as they can unless one bears the badge of an astrologer. #Lore24 Complete! Congratulations to all who made it through! It was an extremely productive challenge which I think I will continue for many years to come! Let's go #Lore25 !!  Here are the top 10 starred lore fragments. I plan to draw some art of them tomorrow. Interestingly, most of them were at the start, where many were very motivated. But alas, things died down past the 1st quarter but I'm glad for my Crimson Nest and Mistberry which made it in to top 10 (albeit many others had at least 2 stars).
